Construction Corporation GERZ and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) signed a contract for the construction of a general practice outpatient clinic in Babintsi village, which is a structural unit of the Bucha Primary Health Care Center of the Bucha City Council, as part of the project “Strengthening Resilience and Recovery through Local Support in Ukraine” funded by the Government of Belgium.
The outpatient clinic is a one-story building divided into a block of medical and auxiliary premises for receiving patients and a residential block for the doctor's residence. All measures are taken to ensure the standard of inclusivity of buildings and structures in accordance with DBN B.2.2-40:2018 “Inclusiveness of Buildings and Structures”: a ramp at the main entrance with handrails and non-slip tiles and tactile tiles are designed for people with limited mobility. Comfortable living conditions will be created for patients and medical staff (spacious rooms, waiting areas, sanitary and hygienic facilities, and a relaxation room for medical staff). The building will have an autonomous water heating system using an electric boiler.
The construction of a general practice family medicine outpatient clinic is an important step in providing the population with the necessary access to primary health care, especially in remote rural areas. The village of Babintsi is part of the Bucha urban territorial community in Kyiv Oblast, with a population of about 3000 people. Currently, medical services in the village are limited, and residents are forced to travel to the nearest towns to receive the necessary medical care. Given the above, the construction of an outpatient clinic is an urgent need. GERZ Group is proud to contribute to the development of Ukrainian communities.
